Who we are

A place where families connect.

Rooted in Truth is a Christian based and parent-led homeschool co-op located in Long County, Georgia. We believe God has called us to raise our children to know Him, and to nurture a connection to His Word and His creation.

Our vision is to create a place where families can connect, build a like-minded community, and participate in hands-on activities that point our children toward Christ.

and we would love to have you

Christ-Centered education

We prioritize the Word of God in our homeschooling, and seek to cultivate a place where our children grow spiritually.

Parents lead

We are the primary educators and spiritual leaders of our children, and we invest the time and energy that calling asks for.

Character, not only academics

Kindness, respect, humility, responsibility and service toward each other. Bullying and unkindness of any form are not tolerated.

Faithful participation

We attend regularly and arrive ready to start at 9:30, out of respect for one another and to make the most of our time together.

The morning

One morning week,  the same every week.

The same shape every Wednesday, so the children always know what comes next; opening together, then two class periods, then we tidy the building and go.

This is not a drop-off program

Parents stay with their children. The co-op is parent-led, and that is the point of it rather than a limitation of it.

We are guests in this building

First Baptist Ludowici has graciously opened their doors to us, and we honor that by respecting the facility and cleaning up after ourselves. The co-op is independent of the church and is not a ministry of it.

Everyone has a job

Each family signs up to serve in some capacity: teaching, assisting, organizing, or supporting logistics. A strong community is built when every member contributes.

Where we meet

the Youth Building with the blue roof at First Baptist Ludowici, 705 N McDonald Street, Ludowici, GA 31316. Wednesdays, 9:30 to 12:00.

Get directions

Rooted in Truth meets here by the kind permission of First Baptist Ludowici. The co-op is independent: it is not a ministry of the church, and the church does not run it.

The classes

Two class periods every Wednesday.

still being planned

The fall line-up is being put together now. Classes are grouped by age, each family picks for each of their children, and every class has a limit so the rooms stay a good size.

Register your family and you will be the first to see the list when it opens.

Questions

The things families ask.

Do I stay with my children?

Yes. This is not a drop-off program. Parents stay, and most parents also teach, assist or help organize something.

What does it cost?

Twenty dollars per family, per semester.

When and where does it meet?

Wednesdays, 9:30 to 12:00, in the Youth Building with the blue roof at First Baptist Ludowici, 705 N McDonald Street, Ludowici, GA 31316. Doors open at 9:00. The fall term starts the second Wednesday of September.

What ages take part?

Families bring the children they are homeschooling, across the range. Classes are grouped by age, and the co-op is working toward a structured class for every group.

Do I have to help?

Yes, and it is the best part. Every family signs up to serve somewhere: teaching, assisting, organizing, or handling logistics.

How do I join?

Register online. You will give your family's details, read and sign the covenant and the statement of faith, and pay the semester fee. Registration is required before taking part.
